The latest SciFM conference was hosted by the University of Chicago in May 2026. The event brought together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to examine the growing role of foundation models, AI agents, and advanced computational systems in scientific research and engineering.

In 2025, the series continued with #SciFM25: Scientific Discovery in the Age of AI, again hosted and organized at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor by MICDE.
