SciFM History
#SciFM26
The third conference, #SciFM26: Foundation Models and AI Agents for Science, was hosted by the University of Chicago in May 2026. The event brought together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to examine the growing role of foundation models, AI agents, and advanced computational systems in scientific research and engineering.

#SciFM25
In 2025, the series continued with #SciFM25: Scientific Discovery in the Age of AI, again hosted and organized at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor by MICDE.

#SciFM24
The SciFM series began in 2024, with its inaugural event, #SciFM24: Scientific Foundation Models. It was organized and hosted by the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery & Engineering (MICDE) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
